Thanks darlinboy - been mulling this over for a while and the price slingshotted me off the fence.

An attractive price for sure. Cam I ask a related question? I bought the Speedmaster Only book, and I have been getting emails asking me to join this club they have by sending in a photo of me with the book. I assume they are then free to use that photo as a promotional tool, but whatever.

What is the big deal with this club? Is this worth doing?

They post the pictures on their facebook page and on here: http://www.collectingwatches.com/mondani-club/

Nobody knows what you look like though so you could easily enough get a random person to take a photo with the book and send it in if you don't want to be on that page 😀

Come to think of it, you could really make a bit of a game out of it, taking photos of strange people holding their books in strange places.

My 2 volume order arrived today... Looks lovely, although there's a lot more photos than text. Was slightly disgruntled to discover in the package that membership of the club Archer references above gives me additional discounts including 50% off the 'coming soon - the mondiani 3 volume Rolex encyclopaedia'. Worth bearing in mind that hanging on to see what this is like might be worthwhile.
