Disclaimer : there is no affiliation of any kind between Molequin and me. I've recently ordered my first strap from them and the only purpose of this thread is to share my personal experience.

I've ordered my very first strap from Molequin two weeks ago, after I accidentally discovered their Grained Hunter Green strap, online. I've been looking around for a green strap for my Speedmaster... well you'll see it later.

A week later, the package arrived. Well protected in a bubble envelope and honestly the content was beyond my expectations. ... talking about the customer experience !

A hand-written word to my attention accompanied the beautiful packaging. A personal touch very much appreciated. Now let's open that black box, what's inside?

    molequin-2.jpg

I was really impressed by the packaging. Ok, you don't need the box and it's all about its content but still, getting something more than your strap in a bubble envelope feels good.

Now the strap itself. The quality is to the highest standards. Super smooth, the stitching is beautiful, the edges are very well finished, everything looks made to perfection.

So I couldn't wait any longer to have it fitted to my precious. When I look again at this picture now, I want it back on my wrist :)

Now let's see the other side. Now it's getting serious.

    molequin-5.jpg molequin-6.jpg

To my eye, the result is out of this world and totally beyond my expectations. This killer strap is perfectly matching the hue of the bezel of my Speedmaster. ::love:: There was still one detail I had to care about - the buckle. The one supplied by Molequin looks solid and nice but at this stage it's all about details, isn't it?

Looking forward to read your thoughts, ΩF. But for now, I'm off to enjoy my new strap :)

Well done, and such a perfect match. I see their posts all the time on Instagram, but never thought to venture into their profile or website. Seems like they have a good strap for just about any watch from the few pictures I’ve seen. Great pictures of a great watch, Alexis!

Very nice, that strap really suits the watch.

I have purchased straps from Molequin and concur with your thoughts.

Nice review. I have been looking myself but never bought from them ( that might change now by the looks of it :)). How soft would you say it is? I currently only wear Horween shell cordovan straps, which are incredible on the wrist.

Thanks ;) It feels super soft if you bend it but it's hard enough to stay straight if you hold it in a horizontal position (sorry, my english skills get to the limit to explain this ::shy::). I have a couple of Horween vintage leather straps from B&Rbands - this one feels the same inside, is a tiny bit thicker and bends as easy as the Horween ;)

It’s so comfortable- and a nice contrast to the blue enamel dial; I am def staying with it. I will consider MQ in the future no doubt.

They are superb ... My 2998 has a green bezel fade and would just look killer on that strap. I have a tan textured strap from them on my Jim Clark. Edge finishing is particularly great. Yea you need a vintage buckle.

I love a green strap. Any chance you can post a wrist shot?

got a blue grain one through their clearance sale couple of months back. very speedy postage and great quality. a real competitor vs. the big names such as Hodinkee, JPM etc.

I’m tempted and spent a long time on their site last night, but for me it is some seriuos $$$ to drop on a strap, unfortunately I will not be attaching to a $20k watch. At least with a watch there is some resale value if necessary and the excuse it will it will last for 20, 30, 40 years.
In the past I have bought horween leather and found it to be too thin and it just felt kind of flimsy. At that price it would be good to know I am buying something with a little strength and structure to it.
