These come up every now and then.

Contrary to most peoples belief of 40 made, there was actually 5 made in total.

40 for public sale, 5 marked Hors Commerce and 5 marked Epreuves d'artiste.

The additional 10 were not for sale but some very lucky people have one of these 10.

In addition - This is case 34/40 which has been pushed around for a very long time. It was for sale a while ago for $97000 Starting bid with no bidders from a different seller.

I'd be genuinely fascinated to see what would happen if one of these ever went no reserve on eBay

Seems the market has decided the price is around $80,000 USD. For me, a basic valuation is that most watches in the case are worth around $3000, with probably two exceptions (Apollo XI, and Apollo XIII). That's where I come out on the case... $3000 * 21 + $8000 + $5000, give or take. The case is cool, but $200k is absurd.

    Yes i agree John

If you have the time and patience to search for the singular pieces they are all obtainable.

My Speedmaster Missions Collection comes in a much smaller case:thumbsup: I do have to say though, I love the Speedmaster mission dials.

I may be the only one with this opinion but this mission set does nothing for me. Aside from the price and the fact that I don't love the mission watches generally speaking. I think it's because I enjoy the hunt of a vintage piece. I couldn't imagine buying 23 VERY similar watches all at the same time. Where's the fun in that?

Nothing Omega makes is really worth more than 50K US... I nearly laughed water through my nose the first time I saw the central tourbillon and found out how much they wanted for it. Unique sure, worth it = no...

US $330k will buy you a stupid nice Lange or Vacheron with change to spare.

The one I like a lot is Apollo 13, which has limited caseback and is not part of the missions edition. Kringkily had a few for sale, probably all gone by now!
