It's a good question, but I don't have a good answer I'm afraid.
Only to say that the majority of gold Constellations that I have seen still attached to their original gold bracelets have been the Grand de Luxe, followed by the late 60s C shape and then a few dome dial 564 hidden/semi hidden crown with Milanese.
In this first period of the early bumpers and 50x series Constellations the bracelets that were available were not specifically designated to a certain watch ( exception: Grand Luxe) or even watch line and were actually an optional extra at point of sale. Omega slowly began to change this in the late 50s early 60s.

I would speculate that perhaps due to issues with broken springs in the stretch links they were more likely to break and be scrapped at some point compared to the brick/bead variants.
