yeah... I've not taunted him in a while and I miss his snappy retorts. makes you want to buy a cheap quartz watch!
I thought he had a brain fart and decided to absent himself. Either way, this is pointless speculation and serves no real purpose.
I was under the impression it was a a personal choice/break. Not trying to be a sh*t disturber or anything I was just curious. From a previous thread I was under a different impressions. I also know many other members are/were curious.
He's probably on another watch forum somewhere already posting this as he sees things going downhill...
Am I the only person who thinks dear departed dennis posted more negative comments than positive, and very few informative watch related posts? As an amusing demented relative, OK. But you can only hide behind "Only joking" emoticons for so long before it becomes tiresome, and indeed repellent to new people. I would welcome the return of the "old dennis" But I can live without the angry snarky sad Dennis. I wish him well. With a Non Sarcastic emoticon.
Dennis is approachable and helpful on the PM side of a forum. He knows his Longines stuff and can write well about it. For that he'll always be a Forum hero. After acquiring the Speedmaster I found I enjoyed it even more than I expected, but it isn't the do-all and end-all of Omega watches for me. I enjoy reading squirrelly-originated irreverent Speedy snark all while smugly owning, wearing, and displaying my Speedmaster here. I think Dennis secretly has a Speedmaster that he wears on occasion when he thinks no Omega Forums members will be looking. Now if he's also secretly wearing quartz I'm going to be sorely disappointed.
If OF was the smurf village, the squirrel would be the grouchy smurf. The grouchy smurf was a normal smurf until was bitten by a Bzz-fly (let's call it the "Speedy" fly in this context) Anyway, I miss him and his rants
Funny I made a thread about a speedy and he seemed to be ok then. After the things I saw that he wrote it what people said I assumed the worst. But again my limited newbie experience is just that, limited, but what an enjoyable experience it has been with Dennis.
