As I prowl ebay for a vintage seamaster and learn from the forums, ive learned to piece together when some of them are frankenwatches. but how come this one is missing a reference number? http://www.ebay.com/itm/162320070991?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network it only says 166.010? thanks!
thats not the case number? i thought the reference number would be something like 168.0024 or sometimes I see 168.024 even. I got stuck once looking up 2869 only to find it was the case reference not an actual model number.
ah i see, and is there a period of time when omega just changed their mind on how the numbers were put, cause some of these have two numbers http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/aL8AAOSwSypY9EDc/s-l1600.jpg thanks for helping with my questions
Occasionally the same case did have two references, in this case one for a non-chronometer calendar and one for a chronometer calendar.
ah i see! thanks! Omega must have gotten very far now! the speedmaster reference is ridiculous! 311.30.42.30.01.005 glad the vintage isnt that complex
