Missed the bargain of the year or dodged a bullet? (2914 inside..)

Hi!
After giving it a lot of thought and weighing the pros and cons, I ended up participating in this railmaster 2914-6 auction to finish as the underbidder…
Bad pictures, no movement shot, no possibility to have more pictures on the bad side.
30 days return policy, charity auction, no dealer involved in the « potentially good » side…

So, did it seem like a risk worth taking at this price range with the return policy or was I lucky in the end? As I’m not very familiar with the reference, right now, I’d kind of prefer to hear that it was a dubious watch but I’m not that sure…😁

With a 30 days returns policy and an upright seller like BHF, definitely worth the effort to try and get your own WM's eyes on it. With bracelet and crown issues, probably not a bargain though, so you can feel good both ways! What a lovely reference though to be sure.

Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but I'm not seeing any price info at that link.

Ahah Damn!
I had a good feeling about it but it stayed at 2750£ until the last minute, I tried a 4510£ snipe but someone put 4600 at the same time (at least…)
It was uk delivery only so it would have needed a little work to put my hands on it (being in France)

Maybe it’s someone here? I’d very much like to see nice pictures of it anyway

Hi
I was also following this auction. I really liked it, but unfortunately it was a bit too rich for me. Just don’t have the funds at the moment. I thought it was a decent price.

Hopefully the winner is a member here and can post some pictures once received.

Absolute bargain and a charity sale too.
Should be a £7-8k watch easy.
I missed getting my last bid in.

Possibly relumed, no? Crown and bracelet not original, but the case looks very nice.
Would still be well worth a punt at that price, but you can console yourself with the thought that the high bidder might have been prepared to go much higher.

As a supporter of the BHF, I now feel I've lost out twice over! Well done OP for trying.
