·Minerva, ca. 1940, early Luftwaffe –aviator’s chronograph with special engraving:
„LGW /Lf/mont.109-16“
(Luftfahrtgerätewerk Hakenfelde – Berlin)
steel case, two body, screw back, ca. 35mm, beautiful blued Breguet hands, very nice in house Minerva calibre CH13-20, working fine
The watch is quite rare, I know myself of just one other example with number 20 (mine is 16) which I have seen in 2004
I believe these watches to be delieverd to Luftwaffe pilots or "Beobachter" (co pilots),
manufactured in small quantities at the "Luftfahrtgerätewerk Hakenfelde" in Berlin Spandau (Hakenfelde -later Siemens, produced a lot of equipment for the German RLM & Airforce).
