Read any articles on military watches and you get the Omega military and the longines military and at the bottom is Eterna as far as movement until now .I was blessed to find a unique Eterna pilot watch with a 17 jewel 852SU movement a two tone off white metered dial with 2 dot hour hand marker the watch is 44 mm from lug to lug and 38 mm excluding crown.I have spent countless hours trying to find a similar Eterna Pilot watch which flies in the face of articles claiming Eterna was lacking. there was the Eterna Heritage Military that was made in 1939 with a 852 and 852s movements that were all 15 jewel .My watch dated by the serial number shows what not has been said about Eterna and its level of watch making skills It is the prettiest movement I have seen and large.I am still researching this watch and will have Eterna service it hoping to get more information on it .But anyone with more information please feel free to tell me.

Eterna was first class. Not for nothing it was its movements who made it to the top after the 70s watch armageddom.
