Midsize Seamaster Authentication Question

Hello, I was recently offered this watch and I admittedly don't really know much about Omegas. It for the most part looks good but I am traveling and I don't really know the seller. He seems ok, offered to do the transaction at an Omega boutique (I know that's not foolproof). But in the photos he sent, the engraving in the case back looks a little strange. Just wanted to get some input before I pass on this. Thanks for the help!

Looks fine to me. What do you see in the caseback engraving that concerns you?

To me, it looks almost hand engraved. Near the WATCH and FAB locations specifically.

Everything looks hand engraved, anyone know that compass rose symbol?

Silly me, I thought you were worried about the outside of the caseback, i.e. the hippocampus. I wasn't looking at the inside. But, now that I'm more awake, yes, that does look hand engraved. I have no explanation for it, but the rest of the watch looks fine.

I believe it's GRSA (the G looks like a B in this photo) I have heard that they had some pretty roughly engraved case backs but I just wasn't sure if this was one of those situations.

Looks ok. Do you mind if I ask you what sent you after a midsize? I have two midsize seamasters I bought from a great seller here. Some complain the bezel takes up too much space leaving the dial illegible but I don’t find that to be an issue.
I have numerous “full-size” seiko and omegas along with other brands but often I like to be low key and avoid what I feel is flashy. Mostly at work and volunteer things for me but I realized a while ago no one cares what watch I’m wearing. Still makes me feel more comfortable.

Then I’ll wear my Seiko Vader I think I’m insane.

I really prefer smaller watches. I have a 7.5 inch wrist but anytime I wear something over 40mm it feels huge on me. In this case, I also prefer polished/steel bezels over color (my everyday wear is a Tudor Black Bay Pro).

I don't think it would be a problem with a 7.5 inch wrist, but you might want to check the number of removable links on the bracelet. The one side that's visible in the photos looks like it only has two removable links. The other side, with the half link, isn't fully shown. For reference on my 6 inch wrist, I remove all the links except one full and one half.

Also, it appears that one of the removable links is fastened with a screw. That wouldn't be original, as the bracelet is sized with pins and collars. Maybe check into that with the seller. I wonder if that link is an aftermarket replacement.

Thank you, I didn't even notice the screw link.
