·I purchased a pre-owned Mido Ocean star 8720. The watch is completely absent of a serial number?
My other Mido has it stamped between the lugs (older model).
I’m now doubting the authenticity, although the movement is correct ETA 2824-2, all other aspects of the piece seem legitimate.
After hours of web searching and I cant find another identical watch excluding one in Germany sold. I reached out to the service center in FL. Via email, but have yet to hear back. I would add that it is alleged to be an older model, so current catalog does not list it.
Is it possible for a Mido to lack a serial number?
