With the help of one of our most knowledgeable Speedmaster fellows I bought this original 145.022-69. As Mike always preachers: Condition is everything and this one certainly qualifies. Other than the scratched crystal (new correct Omega logo one included) and a ding on the upper pusher, this one qualifies. Although it doesn't re-set perfect zero ( not an unusual issue) it winds smoothly and keeps perfect time. My intentions are to address that, replace the crystal and pusher when it needs service. It also came with an original 1711 bracelet, also in remarkable condition, and new correct 633 end links. I have questions regarding the beautiful blue hue the bezel has. I was told this was due to a paint issue that Omega had at that time. Just another Omega "golly-gee"? Please excuse my bad scan with sun glare distorting an otherwise wonderful dial. Your 2c's are welcome. As always: Thanx for your "time" Miki
Well chosen piece Miki. Good strap for it too. Your 2013 will be remembered as the year of living fabulously.
Nice! So this model came with the 1171 bracelet and 633 end links new and not the 1039/516 or did they come with both?
No original bracelet and links ;-( However the 1171 bracelet is in as good a condition as the dial and bezel. No words on the blue hue?
Now I think that is a lovely example. The dial is beautiful. Blue bezel is nice too. which part of the world did you find it? (Just curious to continent!)
How 'bout from the sseond, very careful, owner from Washington D.C. Good safe CONUS deal with a great "Old School" young man.
