As a new collector/purchaser, I guess I’m asking if I made a decent decision is buying/investing in this limited edition? Obviously, only time will tell, but some of the more experienced members may have some insight. And to them, thank you in advance for your time...

Generally Olympic watches don't sell well, and do not perform on the market well. The only LE outside of a few Speedmasters that has done well is the Spectre version of the 300MC that has minimal branding and is a great looking watch in its own right. Orbis, and other small LE's like the ETNZ watches tend to be available for a few years.

The Micheal Schumacher Speedmasters tend to sell around the same price as the normal versions, although they are not the most attractive watches by modern standards.

Neat watch, but appeal may be too limited

If you got a good deal on it and you enjoy it, then I'd call it smart and you being excited. If you plan on selling it in the future, then I guess only time will tell. I think it's neat that there's only 280 of them.

Is there any significance in only 280 pieces?

Here in Maryland, he is a big local celebrity. I like most of the watch just not a huge fan of that much orange.

Although I'll take an Omega branded Under Amour polo like Phelps is wearing on Omegas website.

Not a fan of the chrono. But it makes sense though.

Let's get some pics in this thread. All I've seen are stock photos, which never look too glorious.

Keep an eye on Watchrecon & Ebay.., you'll have your answer soon.

Personally, I like it. Tudor proved with their chrono those colours work well. Fun summer watch. I hope it gets worn rather than spend its life as a safe queen. It'd look sharp poolside, or at the beach.
