Had either/both those been out before I bought the hesalite, I would not own the hesalite.

I was about to buy the black sapphire sandwich but didn't, literally the day before I saw the white one. I love it. Then I bought a hesalite, and I'm waiting for the call to pick up my FOIS.

Contrarian here. I liked the idea of the new white speedy when it was released. When I saw it in person, it left me cold. The white is so stark and plain, it seemed dull.

For comparison, I regularly wear an Apollo XI 35th anniversary. So I'm not opposed to white itself.

It does pain me a bit to say anything negative about a speedy, however, not loving the white.

I've no desire to rain on anyone's parade but the couple of times I've handled the white dial it strikes me as too stark, too bright and too cold, which is not surprising as it mimics an enamel dial. I've got a few light dial Speedmasters, the 1866 moonphase/date of my avatar which is an ecru, off white color, an Apollo 11 35th panda which is an opaline silverish finish, and a Rising Sun which has a sugary textured grey/silver color. None are stark white but are a big change from the standard black dial. Omega has a big hit with this new white dial version but it's just too white for my tastes.

I have an appointment at my OB to see one in a few weeks, but I was in Seoul and stopped by the OB in Gangnam and was able to check out the white speedy ... I was 50/50 on it.

I do really like white dials, and love the seamaster white though I don't have one, and also have to say I'm not a huge speedy fan ... with that I didn't leave thinking it was a no, more a maybe I would fall in love with more exposure to it.

Last year I went in to the OB to get the white dial seamaster, but ended up getting the Oreo so I'm starting to wonder if the white speedy might result in the same move again
