So I just got this mechanical Omega Geneve cal 601 back from being serviced. First time of winding it since it coming back and it seemed to only want to wind 5 times before I felt resistance. It ran for a few hours and stopped again. This was the first time winding it so I don't know if I'm being paranoid but it seemed strange to me. I don't know much about mechanical winding watches. What is the correct way to wind them? For the record, it was serviced by Omega out of an Omega boutique.
Take it back to them. Bad service!. If you feel resistance and keep winding you may break the main spring.
I had my 48 year old 613 serviced in May and it winds 25-30 turns and runs a minimum of 36 hours. Take yours back to the service team
I can't add anything in a technical or mechanical regard, but I do want to say that is a beautiful Geneve!
