May 1970 Seiko 6138-0010 Yachtsman/UFO
Nicknamed the UFO because of the shape of the case-"looks like a UFO"
Included is the Original Seiko Steel Band (Speidel band not included)
All Stainless Steel Case 52 mm x 43 mm-some scratches
Big Funky Chunky Case-impressive on the wrist
Some scratches on the case-see pictures
Rare- Marked Waterproof on the Dial + on the Case Back-
Waterproof on the dial + case back can only be found from the late 1960's to about mid 1971
21 Jewel Seiko 6138a Automatic Movement-can be wound to get it going
This movement has a Column Wheel to regulate the chronograph functions
Quick Set capable Day/Date @ 3:00-working properly
19 mm lug width
Non rotating bezel (correct) with a few dings-overall nice condition
Yellow Chronograph hand can be used as a second hand
A bit of discoloration on the minute hand and patina on the 2 sub dials and indices
Hardlex crystal in nice condition
I believe the watch is original and correct
Running + keeping time-service history unknown-case unopened
Timed during the past 30 hours and has gained about 45 seconds
and has run while off my wrist for the past 16 hours and counting
Functions working + resetting properly-bottom pusher a tad sticky
A lot of watch and coolness for the money
Awesome everyday watch + Original Seiko Steel Band
These Seiko 6138 Chronographs are "very reliable and need a minimum of service"
