I feel the same way, absolutely ecstatic! Truly excellent play and finally a major for one of the true ambassadors of golf.
He had such an up and down career with some mea culpa moments-- making fried chicken remark about Tiger, for example-- but he really earned my respect over the years with his humanity, sportsmanship, and respect for the game and fellow players. I was rooting for Rickie Fowler and Sergio. Was great to see him so happy when he won. Back to WIS stuff: when Willette, the last year's winner, gave him a hug right after he put the green jacket on Sergio, he flashed his gold AP ROO dead center of the TV screen. Too bad no real Omega moment.
