Hi Everyone, What's the difference between the Master Co-Axial and the Master Chronometer? Is it as simple as the Master Chronometer having the METAS certification? Side note...Did I miss the quick adjust bracelet on the new PO's or was that not included? Thanks!
I've posted this before in a couple of places (once here I think) but here it is again: All movement caliber numbers change for the Master Chronometer certification. 8500 --> 8900 8501 --> 8901 8400 --> 8912 8401 --> 8913 8601 --> 8902 8611 --> 8903 etc. In terms of what the physical differences are between the Master Chronometer and older versions, several parts are replaced such as the main plate, some bridges, and the rotor. These changes are due to differing text on the parts, so for example where the 8500's rotor had "Omega Co-Axial 8500" the 8900 has "Omega Master Co-Axial 8900" on it. The balance wheel is also different and one intermediate train wheel is different - the differences in these parts are not known by me at this time. Cheers, Al
