Mark II Orange Glow

Hi Guys,

Got a Mark II co-axial with the black dial and thinking of swapping to the racing dial and hands.........but without having a watch with the racing dial in-hand I'm not sure where the orange glow under the bezel actually comes from. Read online it comes from a "ring of Superluminova"..........but where? Is it on the underside of the tachy scale? Not sure how much light gets under there to charge it, but don't see where else it could be. I was thinking it was on the edge of the dial face itself , but as you can see from the pic..........there's no orange ring there. So where, preytell, is it? Just gotta have that glow!!

thanks,
bob

The following is from a review here:

https://www.ablogtowatch.com/omega-speedmaster-mark-ii-watch-review/

“The tachymetre scale is integrated around the edge of the anti-reflective sapphire crystal, thus allowing the numbers of the scale to be transparent. Beneath the crystal lies a bright orange metal ring, mostly obscured from view, that holds a luminous application directly below the transparent tachymetre scale.”
