Hi - new to the forum and thanks everybody for all the great information in these forums.

The other day I unearthered my Marine Chronometer Megaquartz 2.4 MHz, whch I hadn't worn for quite some time. I purchased it way back in 1974! It's is one of the original 900 made, serial # 34916739, with the gold bezel and plaque. It needs a new battery (Renata 386?) and I suspect will need a new case back gasket. Does anyone know where I might be able to get that?

    Thanks,

    Chris

Always nice to see an OMC! Gaskets used to be available at Otto Frei in California, give them a try.

Fabulous watch. I love these too. Where are you located. Cousins may still have them in the UK. If not STS are specialists and have more knowledge and parts than anyone for this model.

Do you still have the box?

Thanks so much - I'll give them a call - much appreciated (sorry for my late response - had to have shoulder surgery!)

Sadly I don't have the box anymore, but I was able to get a copy of the Certification Certificate from Besançon, which arrived 3 weeks after I aked them for it! Great service and no charge either!
I'm in Arizona USA and I have now made contact with Leona Coe at STS in London, who can service the watch for me ... at a considerable price I might add!
Thanks for your help and advice.

You'll be getting an invoice from Besançon later normally ;-) Great people indeed, they welcomed me over there a few years ago and showed me around the original room where all these watches were tested !

Hey who's Leona Coe ? The main man over there was/is Tony Coe who's been servicing our 151x for a while now ;-) Stellar job, including tightening the bracelets.

I shall expect it then!! I presume Leona Coe is a member of the family at STS. She responded to me when I queried them.

    Cheers
