A DON bezel?

 

Recently had a watch shipped to me from Scotland that took three months to get here. I can’t really blame the post office. One character in the postal code was incorrect. It likely ended up in the dead letter office somewhere, while it awaited someone to research the correct postal code. The address label had been replaced when it got here. It is to be returned to Scotland, some time this week.

 

Be careful, the Canadians burned down the White House.

Hey, I'd say Canada Post is pretty damn impressive, getting the package successfully to Australia with only a Post-It note with an OF username instead of an address!!!! Can any other country's mail service do anything remotely as awesome?

 

We weren’t “officially”Canadians yet when we did that, just really pissed colonials. The Americans have been smart enough not to get us that angry again.

But Mr.Trump does seem to be giving it a good try.

OK, enough of the funny stuff, here's what was in the package.



Thanks to an extremely generous gesture by @Archer I now have a flat onion crown for my project as well as a spare stem in case my original was too short.

Thanks Al, I really appreciate it.

After fitting the new crown, I found the crown to case clearance was about 0.5mm.




The specification document shows that the clearance is much smaller.



So it's a small adjustment to stone off about a bee's whisker to decrease the gap and put it back together.
