Hi all - I am looking at a watch from eBay seller closer0924 who from what I read is reputable (though watches will likely need servicing). I have my eye on this one and it seems to be all legit, though the bezel line looks a tiny bit off on at 6 in the picture. I can't tell if this is just the photo or if it's something that happens with age, etc. Any opinions?

Looks ok to me... just a little bit of angle on the shot.

Ditto. Closer is a good guy, and 98% of watches sold on eBay could benefit from a service.

I think it's OK just parallax error when viewed at angle.

Awesome. Thank you! I went ahead and made the purchase. It took almost a month of scouring redials and frankenwatches. Learned a ton in the process and look forward to growing my collection. Thank you all for your help and I’ll be posting photos once I receive it!
Edit: going to have to track down a replacement second sweep hand though :) but I’ll happily deal with this broken one in the mean time.

Hmm - are the numbers on the date a little less bold than they should be? Compared to say:

    I’m probably just overthinking.

Also re: the second sweep - anyone know how I would go about finding one? Measure / find part reference number? It seems like that hand in particular is on a few different models so I should be able to find one - hopefully in uniform aged condition.

Never saw this variation before but I would say (gut feeling) the dial is genuine. Cant say I saw any backround info on this model but I've owne(d) like 8 of them (chronometer and non chronometer). But again, never saw the incomplete crosshair. My thoughts are these were made maybe for the Japanese (or asian) market (like the 168.001 and the 168.0065) because I see them more often in Asia then Europe.

I’m traveling abroad currently and closer had the watch sent basically over night! Bummer I have to wait, but I’ll have it waiting for me when I get home!

Any suggestions as to finding a replacement second sweep hand? I know it’s not a huge deal / can be found cheap but I want it to all be original. Will any 565 work? I’m not sure where to look for a used one so it will all be in uniform condition. Perhaps my service place will have an idea.

Why would you need a replacement second hand?

The small side (for lack of a better term) looks to have been broken off when compared to other examples.

Got it! Aside from needing a new second swing, I think I'm happy - and the 35mm isn't too small for my wrist! Oh also - the date changes when I pull the crown out all the way but not when I twist it. Is this some sort of error that should/will be fixed when I get it serviced or should I be concerned?

Pulling crown all the way is how date changes in 565. If you keep on " twisting" it while in that position you might end damaging it.

Awesome, thank you! Glad I didn't twist it and just kept pulling to change the date.
