Machining parts for an Enicar Ops

    This is the drive wheel (cut from a small brass tube) and the pinion (not finished will need to be cut to size and thread cut for crown). Both parts are machined on a mill and a lathe.

    Make sure it all fits before silver brazing ...

    I don't know why I do it sometimes. It takes so much longer to make small parts. So next time you take your watch for repairs, you can appreciate why it costs so much...

    Sometimes with these great macro shots I forget how tiny these parts actually are. Color me impressed.
