    Hi all,

I'm about to service my Omega Genève 166.0173. I already acquired the new crystal. I'm not sure what to ask to my watchmaker about the luminous dot that got detached from 3 o'clock. It's currently trailing along the dial. Is it possible to reattach it with a micro drop of glue? Or it's better to throw it away?

But don't use the precision applicator. Put some on a small non-porous surface (old watch crystal) and use the finest needle you can find to apply a drop.

Practice putting drops on an old dial or similar to get a feel for what's needed.
Use a sliver of clean Rodico or a silicone stick to lift and position the lume dot after the glue dot has has about 5 seconds to get tacky.

Thanks, my watchmaker told me that if the dot is in good shape, he will reattach it with the glue.

OK, so the watchmaker tried to pick the lume ball and it immediately got disintegrated. However, he changed the glass and the watch looks amazing!

Interesting thread. I never gave much thought to what id do if one of my lume plots fell off. Thanks for highlighting this. And the watch looks great!
