Love it!--I'd suggest letting it fade to complete black before restarting the cycle--gives it more narrative that way.
Was expecting something like this Yep LUME chickens https://www.treehugger.com/animals/glow-dark-chickens-are-genetically-engineered-fight-bird-flu.html
Very neat and (in hindsight) obvious idea! If I can find a stand (and timelapse app for my phone) I can see a duel happening between my Watchco SM300 with Seiko Turtle SRP777
For hands which are not filled but coated this is indeed a good result. In real world the CP2 is the most legible. Hands are as bright as the SMP but background is fading more quickly. With the SMP I am having trouble sometimes if the hour hand lines up with one of the hour markers: When it's dim it can be difficult to distinguish from the minute hand.
Cool idea ! I may be dumb but I have to ask ; how did you do this ? I suppose you didn't take a picture manually every 15min ?
My 68 holds about 5 minutes. It’s weird and my 6117-8000 isn’t the only one that still does. Original proof dial.
Of course not. Depends on your equipment: - some cameras have a time lapse feature on board - some allow "teathering" via USB port and a PC with a suitable program - some allow "teathering" via WiFi and a suitable PC Program or Phone app. - there are firmware extensions which provide that feature (e.g. magic lantern for canon). This is what I use. - there have been boxes around for decades which trigger the RC ports of cameras in a certain interval. - for nearly all phones there are apps around which does this job.
And here is the promised sequel: Lumebattle Episode II Featuring TL: 'ol sword hand SMP for reference TR: THE one and only #Speedytuesday BL: Baby Black Bay BB36 BR: Breguet Type XXI Edit: These are the actors in daylight:
Excellent experimental research with academic value. Wow that Tudor is very good. I too use the 2254/5 as my benchmark for lume but I may have to open my mind a little. Perhaps it could be said that the Tudor min hand washes out a bit quicker than the Omega version but the lume is very good. At the risk of being annoying, would it be possible to add a lit pic of the test subjects so we can see what the pieces in question look like? I know my Omegas but on the first test with the Sinn models I wouldn’t have a clue.
