Guys - just doing a sanity check on these tritium lume plots (year 1986). Always paranoid these days and was thinking they potentially looked a little thick under a 10x loupe - but no other evidence to suggest relume, etc. Does this look alright? Appreciate your comments.
Looking at my own file photos, I'd say mine has similar lume thickness. The lume on your 4, 8 and 12 o'clock plots might go partially outside the underlying white paint although this may be the effect of lume thickness and camera angle making it appear so. I have the same with one of my indexes though. MWO (1st edn p337) has a full page photo of a 345.0809 and it appears to have similar lume thickness on the 12 o'clock phallic, and the 6 o 'clock lume might go over edge of the white paint. I'm basing all this on photos but I wouldn't be too concerned.
The lume plots look ok to me...normal recession you’d expect over time. And even better that it’s a speedy moon!!
Lume from mid-80's to early-90's was especially thick and puffy on the Speedies. And things ALWAYS look uneven when viewed with a powerful loupe. But the plots are consistent in their color and finish, which is all you can really hope for. Nice score.
