Hi to those who still like me despite of my bad form 馃檮 ...

I have lusted for a 14393 with the railroad track dial for quite some time and was lucky to buy a rather well preserved example in 18K YG this afternoon.

It sat in a drawer for more than 32 years after the first owner had passed away.
There is tarnishing of the gold (aka patina) as you can see in the photos, so I assume it has not been polished yet, but who knows. When I picked it up it started to run immediately - thats what I call Omega quality.
Will have it cleaned and lubricated soon and it will be a nice watch for rotation as the cal. 561 is one of the best automatics Omega has built.

Great find, a phenomenal dial and the tarnish on the case will clean up beautifully. Very nice.

You will wonder but I will leave the tarnish on the gold... I like it in the as found condition. Only a good service will do...

Nice catch, I've only seen one other full 18k example in yellow gold over the past 15 years. I love it!
Factory bracelet looks like this . . .

I looked through all my pictures and I think the crown is correct too. I have seen another one with the slim 10-sided crown as well.
Case is nice and crisp - just the way I like it. Yes, you found a good one.

So rarely seen in solid gold - evenly rarely seen in this condition in any material! What a catch - congrats!

Actually I understand your decision.
I鈥檝e mentioned the Japanese term before on the OF... wabi sabi...
鈥淚n traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi (渚樺瘋) is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete".

I don鈥檛 understand why it would be rude. This forum is to gather and share information about a watch. It鈥檚 not like we are asking for age or sexual orientation.

Thanks. As a new member you have to get a hang for the etiquette - which can be hard when a senior member simply posts a face palm emoji with no further explanation. And also, sorry to OP for going off topic.

Do you mind telling how much you paid for it?

I can麓t tell you because it was part of a package, it came with a vintage 14K rose gold bracelet (non Omega though)
