Any believers? For me, luck absolutely, charms not so much.

Why'd you stop?
As I matured my tastes changed. Some things i used to like I no longer did, and some things I didnlt like I started to.

Also, as a growing child and teenager, I ate as much food as the rest of my family (mom, dad, three sisters) so just about anything I could get my hands on, I ate. Once I got to about 17 years old... that stopped.

Lucky Charms, Frosted Flakes, Cocoa Krispies and Fruit Loops are in da house! (my son likes a 'combo' bowl of cereal in the mornings -- I make sure there is an all-star lineup; the wife only likes to feed him oatmeal)

When I was a boy, my father had rabbit’s foot key ring, which was believed to be a lucky charm.

I always thought it was unlucky for the rabbit…

People think I'm weird that I usually ate my cereal dry unless it was rock hard like Alpha Bits or Honeycombs.

That's what the cocoa krispies are for -- they turn milk into chocolate milk, which is better then eating cereal dry (which is better then eating cereal with plain milk)

The watch in my PFP is this, explained by the copy from the Phillips auction:

“The LeCoultre “Lucky 13” is a truly remarkable and unique watch presented by the Chicago Anti-Superstition Society to Lt. Colonel John H. Glenn Jr. to commemorate his historic achievement of becoming the first American astronaut to orbit the Earth. Featuring the number 13 at every hour marker, the watch celebrated the Friendship 7 spacecraft capsule used by Glenn for his Mercury- Atlas 6 mission. Friendship 7 was the 13th space capsule produced by McDonnell Aircraft Corp, and the 13s on the dial were used to illustrate the society’s rejection of the number 13 as unlucky.

LeCoultre, “Lucky 13”: A unique, historically important and unusual gold-filled time-only wristwatch with center seconds and “Lucky 13” dial, purchased by the consignor directly from the estate sale of Senator John H. Glenn, Jr.”

Here’s a short (30 sec.) video of 13 senators gathering at 10:13 on Friday, April 13 to present the watch after a ceremonial mirror-breaking surrounded by black cats

As a lad I happened to have a week in Moscow, with my parents. First day there I saw Gagarin, Titov, and Khrushchev posing in a motorcade, on Titov's return to earth. I have the photos of them somewhere.
