Is that a modern dial installed on a vintage 40's 12.68Z inside a redone WWII era case? That's a nice looking watch. Bauhaus is the perfect style for it.
The "Bauhaus" was a German movement of design and architecture in the 1920s which revolutionized design and created a very streamlined style with a lasting impact for decades. So by "Bauhaus" one generally refers to 1920s-1930s objects with clean geometric lines ( although in truth the style inspired all modern designs).
Wow, and it just dawned on me it has one of those early mineral glasses, whose profile fits so nicely with the stepped case. Guess @LarryG described it best....
This is just a stunning watch. Clean simple lines, Bauhaus is right. Nomos could not match this look!
The size and condition are extraordinary but it is the overwhelming beauty of the dial that impresses me most. The contrasting tone of the central sector is fabulous. It is difficult to imagine a more perfect watch. I have one with the same numerals.
