Love the new Diver Seamaster a lot but, there is just one thing that bothers me a little

If a picture is 1,000 words, here is 2,000 words. The first photo the watch looks fine. However in certain lighting the watch face reflects too much shine making it harder to read. I wonder if the Planet Ocean has the same issue?
In this photo my watch looks black which is also interesting.

I think that is the allure of the new SMP. The dial changes depending on lighting conditions. I don't have that issue with my SMP, but I also have a different dial than yours!

Personally I love the way the light reflects and makes the dial sing. I mean whats not to like...

I actually like how the lighting conditions effect the watch usually, like this photo. I mean it's the same watch as in the first photo. But the reflective look on the one photo above, not so much.

It's harder to read the hands in that type of light. I still like the look but its harder to read

Gives you more of an excuse to stare at your watch longer!

It’s harder to read at certain angles; if it was a truly professional timepiece, one could argue that a matte dial would have been a better choice. However, while certain angles might make it hard to see the exact minute or second hashes, the hands and five minute markers seem pretty visible in all of those pics.

I can talk you my Planet Ocean is the same if not worse. The dial is all shiny ceramic.

It's getting harder to read these threads you keep creating. Slow down, partner. Maybe find if another thread on the topic exists. :)

No one says you have to read them. I'm late for work and don't have time to start going through all these older threads on a 2018 Watch to see if anyone else mentioned any issues about reflectiveness. The anti-reflective Coatings work just fine, and I seen threads on that issue already.

Then why ask the same question again when you know the answer.
There is a saying that familiarity breeds contempt.
I would bear that in mind before you start your next pointless thread.

Maybe Mr. Richards can go on the Rolex forum and ask where he can buy the ceramic Daytona at MSRP.

    LOL

As to the original topic, or OT, not to be confused with the other OT, I noticed that the reflections and such were much more noticeable when I was photographing my watch. IRL, under normal lighting, I've not had a problem reading the time.

It’s the appeal to me, especially the blue dial which can look black in dark lighting, but very bold bright blue in direct sun.

    It’s lovely

I haven't notice crazy reflections on my blue SMP.

    See ya!

I like the gloss on the face as I enjoy seeing it change in the light, I would have liked the bezels gloss taken down a bit, although this probably would have looked imbalanced.

Main thing I don't like is the size of the clasp - which is too big and not as nice as other iterations.

Ha! Im sure everyone knew what this thread was about before opening it.

This forum is a resource and a great one at that for Omegas. I've been here for 6 months and havent even gotten to 100 posts, even though I go on daily and read. Dude got double my post count in 2 months.
