    that is really cool,

    but to be honest, you are doing yourself a disfavour ... looking at a watch with a magnification of 5-20 times ... can be heartbreaking (unless its brand new)

    Great shots JILA (and great watches)! Can you also comment on what you are doing from a lighting perspective? Plus, how far away from the watch are you placing the loupe? Great stuff.......

    @RawArcher : I made no special light set-ups -- all photos were taken on the dining room table which is illuminated by a chandelier-thingey that has three compact fluorescent lamps. I do take a lot of watch photos on this table so I know the spots on the table where the lighting is most favourable. Distance-wise, I got the loupe as close to the subject as possible while still maintaining focus -- my guess is about 3-4cm from the subject.
