·Any time bare metal is rubbing against bare metal there is a chance of damage. Otherwise why would we need lubricating oils? I thought everyone knew this basic stuff.

But it's really not rubbing any bare metal when on the end links stay in place. If I take it off I can push them down a little bit without them touching metal
Is it the original bracelet causing the issue?
IF NO=> get rid of this bracelet and get an original one
IF YES => let Omega Service deal with it
Original is very hard to find . It's not the standard speedmaster one .
This one came with a gen rubber seamaster strap when I got it
It's very easy to find, just call up your local Omega dealer, OB, or service center, and ask them for a 020ST1610930. Pay the money, and get the bracelet.
Your watch seems to be in great shape, it deserves the original bracelet. It will look fantastic 👍
I wasn't aware that I could do that since it was discontinued.

Showed the omega boutique the band it's been on and they said there should be no major issues because there's no metal grinding
