I am looking at this zenith on ebay--seller says it was serviced 2 years ago and everything works fine. The only thing that worries me is there is a rusty screw holding the movement in place. He says there is no other rust. Should this be a deal breaker? https://www.ebay.com/itm/273160857548?ViewItem=&item=273160857548Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Hey jaguire have you seen this one? I like it better for the price: https://omegaforums.net/threads/zenith-cal-143-6-chronograph.71484/

I was watching that one as well. I didn't like the dial and though not 100% positive, I think the crown should have the Z Star
Looks like a Cal. 40. No serial # on movement. Dial lacks Swiss so it is probably From Besançon. Case numbers don’t look right so it could be French made. What’s the asking price?
I think it’s a nice watch and if you like it, that’s all that matters. I would post it in the Zenith forum on the other site as there are some seriously knowledgeable guys there. Keep us posted
It's weird because the case doesn't say zenith, the crown doesn't say zenith, the dial doesn't say swiss made and there is no # on the movement....hope it's not a franken watch
Zenith made watches at Besançon, France to avoid import duties as I understand it. The dials never say Swiss on them. Calibers 126 and 40 are virtually identical. I don’t know exactly what makes them different. Something hidden I assume. The other one you see out of Besançon is the 106 at 10 1/2 Lignes the others are 12. Look closely to see if there’s a number down in there. See Red Arrow
ok I am trying to learn--this is a redial, correct? https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-OV...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1431.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
The hour markers don’t lineup with the lines. Look at the 2 Os in sporto. Not quite the same. Pass on this one
