Looking into an Omega 2179

I am looking into the following example of a "US Army" engraved Omega 2179 but I have a few concerns that I'd like to get some opinions on. The dial has some heavy patina but I don't mind that too much, in fact I kinda like it. Here are the concerns:

Obviously the seconds hand is incorrect. How difficult would it be to find a correct seconds hand to replace it?

The seller states that the seconds hand is "a bit jittery" and recommends a service. Could this be caused by the seconds hand being incorrect?

The lugs look a little shiny and rounded, possibly over polished?

The inside of the caseback shows 2179 but there is no /2 or /3. In some conversations I had with @gatorcpa, he told me that 2179/2 and 2179/3 were the only sub-references known to have the engraving. Should I be wary of some tomfoolery?

I know the usual wisdom is to not take on a "project" watch but I wanted to see what you guys think. Thank you in advance and I hope this post finds you well.

Engraving is way too deep.

The engraving looks new and is to deep. Look at the strange "A" and there are no dots. Regarding the movement it needs service. I think it´s the seconds wheel and bridge that is worn. Probably needs a full service. The watch is not all genuine, but I like the dial. 😀

Thank you for the comments. I like the dial too, but if the engraving is fake then the asking price of $1500 is a stretch.
