pretty generic title, huh? I have an old Omega speedmaster - a moon watch with a decorative, engraved back.... It needs some parts.. long story, but the the core one I am looking for is a "hairspring" Movement is an 861. My watch guy says it's from 1985. I figure I got the watch in 1990/1991 or so... It was a gift from Omega any clues on where to look - reputable parts folks? I also need a replacement dial. and I will likely replace the hands at the same time... any clues on where to look for parts? Thanks in advance
I would say that you´ll need a complete balance, if you want the job done properly. Omega part no 860-1327 http://www.ofrei.com/page667.html Here´s one for sale (I have nothing to do with it, I just browsed eBay) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OMEGA-C86...778?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4615b4f25aPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Cousinsuk have the 860-1327 part for £99.95 and the standard 145.022 Speedmaster dial is £80.85 I always check their prices first before buying from other places
Definitely go for the Cousins UK alternative then! That´s a really competitive price for a complete balance, and therefore absolutely no reason to go for the hairspring alone!
