Looking for parts

Hello everyone!

I’ve recently inherited a family heirloom, looking for information as the case(?) and bracelet are non-existent. I’ve attached the photos what is current as well as what I believe it was/meant to be.

This could totally be a wild goose chase for something that may not be achievable but any input and/or direction is greatly appreciated. This was my great grandmothers watch and supposedly had the full gold band.

Full disclosure, it is not in my possession as of now, but is being shipped across the country to me this week. I will share more photos once I receive it if there is enough interest.

Post pics of the movement and inside the case back when you receive the watch.

So you only have the piece shown in the first two photos?

Is this something that is easily accessible? I’m fairly confident in my abilities on being gentle, but if it’s more complicated I’ll need to locate a professional in my area.

Pretty easy with this watch. We need to see pictures of what you are working with.

Most likely the case and integrated bracelet were scrapped at some point for the gold value. Quite honestly, the odds of finding a replacement case/bracelet combination are not very good. If you can buy the watch in the third photo and transplant your heirloom watch, that would be the most likely approach.

The third photo watch was sold and I can’t find another like it online.

I know nothing about how interchangeable these movements and faces(?) are.. would it be possible to use the same movement and face in another case and bracelet?

Possible but if it's gold, you won't want to pay the price.

Big winds, wet, wavy day and I forgot this and its new strap were on my wrist. No harm no foul however despite the soaking .

Honestly. I don’t think the original case was gold. If it was. So would be the back, so if scrapped. They would have taken that also.

If your grandmothers favourite watch and worn all the time. These mesh bracelets can break down over time or the plating will wear away leaving the base metal.

You will know once received and movement removed to find either gold filled or actual gold content.

Main problem now.

Current gold value is $3375 an ounce, so having a goldsmith make something is going to be far more.

With the reference number in case back. You can search for a used model, but you will still pay based on gold content, weight + use value.

Gold plated or gold filled. Not that much

Movement will also need to be serviced, so add $200 - $250 maybe?

Sometimes. Cost far outweighs sentimentality

Don’t fall down the rabbit hole

UPDATE:

I’ve received the package so the case back, movement, dial and Crystal are in my possession.

See photos..

Case is 14K gold, confirmed with family member they didn’t want to scrap all of the heirloom..

Go and scrape the rest. Seems odd to scrape the main part the case and keep the back and movement

The case (if you ever find one) and depending on when it was scrapped and gold price. Could now cost you 3 times what it was scrapped at.

Worst part. Watch won't even be worth what you paid for the case as scrap value and the fact it's a woman's watch will be low. Plus cleaning the movement is about $200 or more.

Found nothing based on the model number.
