Hey all. I've seen this Seamaster chrono on a few sales forums here in Ontario and I was hoping to get some opinions on it: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1966-Omega-1...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I'm not sure why but when i look at it compared to others I've seen online it just seems a bit off.
Link works for me. Sellers pics are good and show condition IMO. Dial has ageing and case is polished. Never going to be a show stopper but as he's taking offers it's potentially a cheap entry into 321 ownership. Personally I'd rather pay more for a better example.
I'm no expert but there's something up with the hands. They look too new for the rest of the watch. Beauty is of course in the eye of the beholder, but that strap colour and design seems to make the watch more dowdy and tired than it already is. There are some cracking 321 Seamaster chronos out there for about the same sort of BIN money. It's clear why he's open to offers.. if you can knock him down at least by 30% you might consider it a deal...i'd wait for another too...
Hands were replaced, dial “patina” is not attractive. I do like this model however. I would say, though, that my initial impression was that it wears smaller than the 38mm quoted size due to the white tachymeter. Once you get over that, it actually sits well on the wrist.
Hmm...Link isn't working for me either and I posted the bloody thing. Here's the item number: 253187782373 Here's a Kijiji link, hopefully it works: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-jewelry-wat...ge/1302220914?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true Thanks everyone for your input. I thought it was just me seeing something bit off about the watch, I guess not.
