I have this great Seamaster with a , now golden, patina dial. But, I am having a horrible time matching a strap to this dial color. Anyone with some style , your advice is welcome.

Ooh I like that... or a thin teju lizard in honey. Or even rustic pigskin if you want a more casual look.

    Couple different shades:

I like the two on the far left. It seems to me that it needs a darker strap.

Those are real gator. They're kinda thick though. When I had the SM300, I wore it on one of those and the proportions looked about right. Tricky finding skinny gator bands.

In the EU, Cousins do a thin "Bellini" gator strap that's perfect for vintage dress watches. The "Thin" range of straps are very thin indeed - my brother has one on a 32mm mid-size Seamaster from 1957.

To my eye, that watch would look great on a burgundy, dark green, or dark blue strap:

I like those, but as I put the watch picture side by side, the color just does not seen right to me. Too light and it looks like just a bad color match to the dial color. Too dark and the dial seem to get lost. It may be a Black lizard. My eyes hurt from looking so much, another day.

I had not even looked at green. Huummm.
    I like the third one.
Edit: I really like the third one. Nice match in my eyes. Info please?

If you ever want to sell it back...:D

Hadley Roma Oil Tan might work, they go well with pretty much anything.

A BOR bracelet would look great too!

I have always loved the BOR. I may have to keep an eye out for that two. I have 4 18mm watches now and a little inventory of straps may be fun.
