Looking for Omega Crown 45002ST for Ranchero

Hello, I have recently acquired an Omega Ranchero ref. 2990 however it is missing its original crown. I believe it should be fitted with a bowler shape 45002ST. Anyone have one or know where I could source one from?

Thanks in advance!

I've previously bought a modern iteration of that crown (still bowler hat, but modern logo) from Cousins watch parts house in the UK.

Did you check the parts section of the forum?

Thank you for the suggestions. I have located a 45002 crown however it is a modern iteration like you mentioned. It has a more modern logo but it will still look nice on the watch. Certainly a big improvement from the one that is currently on there.

The newer style bowler hat crown is available from Omega. I replaced the original bowler hat crown on my Ranchero with the new one when I acquired the watch. Other than the newer style logo, the crowns are pretty much identical. I kept the old crown, but in my view crowns and crystals are wear items that typically should be replaced on vintage watches. I’m much more concerned with preventing moisture intrusion and preserving the dial and hands than I am with complete originality.

Very nice watch! Thank you. I agree that dial and hand preservation is most important. How would I go about sourcing this part directly from omega? I’ve never tried to source a part from them before.

thanks again!

Any watchmaker with an Omega parts account can get one for you. You might also try contacting an Omega boutique and asking whether they can order it for you. In my experience, some will and some won’t.

As mentioned. Also order a new stem to be sure the current one doesn't work with the new crown (could be cut shorter)
