Hi All! I spend quite a bit of time lurking on the forum and appreciate the help I’ve received before. I recently picked up this Omega Constellation and would like some more information if anyone can contribute. I believe the reference # is 2652-17 SC and that it has a 354 movement (pretty sure it’s referred to as a bumper). The serial number is 14763521 which, I believe, puts production in the 50’s. There are a few things that I’m curious about:

    1) Most of these that I see have the pie pan dial. This watch has the crosshairs but no pie pan / texture to the dial. Was that common?

    2) There’s no SWISS or SWISS MADE on the dial... I realize there isn’t totally consistency in these dials, and there’s a chance I have a redial or something that’s been cleaned, but I’m curious if the absence is indicative of anything in particular?

    3) I have to assume the crown has been replaced - is there a way to identify what the replacement part is? And/or is it worth doing?

Thank you for your time, I appreciate any insight you can offer! Chris

    Sorry, but it's a redial.
The script is erratic, and does not match any known 2652.
I own a 2652 with a dome dial and crosshairs, so these do exist. However, mine has the Swiss made signing, which should be on all Constellations from this period.

The crown has been heavily worn, so you'll find it a challenge to see whether this has been replaced or not, but modern replacements for this model are still available.

Thanks for the quick reply. I definitely had some concern regarding the lack of the Swiss / Swiss Made... I didn’t think the script varied much from other examples but that could easily be that I don’t really know what I’m looking for.

Redialed, polished a bit much for my tastes, movement dirty.

If nothing else, look at the alignment of the minute markers. They are so far off, the script was the last thing I noticed.
