Hi all
I am a complete layman with regards to watches so please excuse any ignorance on my part. I am hoping to find the model (I believe its the ck number?) and a ball park value for a watch I have received from my deceased fathers estate.
The watch belonged to his step father so there is no sentimental value.
It is in the process of being serviced and the person at the workshop gave me the following information:

R17.8SC
Rose Gold
Movement 9700378

When I try and look up that information I get slightly different watches being returned and have only found a single place with images that look the same as the watch I have (https://watchguy.co.uk/cgi-bin/library?action=show_photos&wat_id=3440 - looks to be a watch repair place that posts images of their jobs).

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Have them take photos of the movement and inside of the case back.

Lots and lots of Omegas used this movement and many of them don't have reference numbers.

Hello, the dial was repainted which will affect its attractiveness (and therefore value) for collectors.
