I have a circa 1975 Seamaster De Ville Automatic Day-Date that runs really well (quickset works properly and updates day and date nicely each night and it keeps very good time). It's a 1020 caliber. The crown is missing and my local jeweler thinks it's going to need both a stem and crown. I bought an Omega crown, but my jeweler thinks the shaft is too small and thinks it won't fit what's left of the stem.Do any of you know of someone in the Bay Area that would be able to perform this service? It was my grandfather's watch upon working for the Union Ice Company for 50 years (although for some reason they never engraved the back!), and I've polished the crystal and caseback and I want to give it to my brother. Thank you in advance. P.S. I bought sanding sticks and now have the crystal much better than even this "polished" photo. Now, all the scratches are gone.
