Admittedly I am a bracelet noob. There are just too many variations. I know some are worth more than others. Could I ask for some recommendations of bracelet reference numbers with end link #s that will fit the ed white I just purchased off the forum? :). I would just like to put it on a bracelet that is "vintage" omega. It does not have to be a period correct bracelet setup. Just something that is authentic and looks okay.

If anyone knows of a convenient place to purchase that would also help!

    Thanks a bunch

    Josh

What would be the easiest to find omega bracelet that would fit on it? If anyone sees something or knows someone I'm all ears. Just looking for a temp bracelet to put it on while i search for something nicer.

Posting a WTB, checking the watchpartsforsale subforum, checking ebay etc. are the first 3 things that come to mind...

Put it on leather while you hunt. Or get an 1175 (vintage) or 1125 (modern)... but really, for the $300-500 you'd put into one or those, save it for a proper vintage flat link.

1175 won’t fit it’s 20mm, 1125/617 works fine as it’s 19mm but is a bit rattley. You can get them brand new from a boutique for circa £300 if memory serves. Second hand only ~£200

To the OP: I actually got the 60th Anni LE bracelet to fit my EW but of course your experience may be different so don’t buy one just on my say so!

Then a 1125 isn’t a bad choice. Or spend big bucks for a 1960s stretch model of course. I did the above combo just to see if I could get it to work. My EW lives on leather.

    60th LE on a 1970s 1125. Not a universally popular combo!

What and file off the 633 end links? 1171 is 20mm

1125/617 is basically the same in 19mm

Hardly an idiot, it is easily done and you are the second to suggest a 20mm option in this thread, it is Omega's fault for not having a logical naming system. I only know them myself since I have been intently looking at 19 and 20mm Speedy options recently.

@padders I've been contemplating on fitting the LE bracelet on my 002 too, I have previously read that it's possible to purchase in an OB. I can't recall correctly, was it the seamaster LE or the speedy LE that fit? One of them didn't fit and I think the speedy LE didn't fit.

I tried with the SM bracelet as that is what I had to hand, I haven't tried the SP 60th bracelet, mine is still in the plastic and I use the head on other stuff. The SM one fitted with a little mild persuasion but nothing worrying. I may have just been lucky though since I have seen it suggested that the bar holes are in a different place on the original straight lug watches like the EW and the modern ones like the FOIS/60th LE. That may not be true of course, or perhaps I fluked it by trying the SM bracelet, rather than the SP. I am not actually sure if there are differences in the LE bracelets other than the end link markings, the end link profile may be the same for all I know, after all the cases are all around 38-39mm dia.

I'm going to meet up a friend who has the speedy LE bracelet so I will report back on the results, but I don't think it will fit. I read over here somewhere that someone else had tried the speedy, which didn't work, but managed to fit the seamaster. But thanks for letting me know it was the seamaster bracelet you fitted. Would be great if someone can do some comparison of the seamaster and speedy LE bracelets..

So today I tried it and here are the results.
    39538712_723761614639130_1014337551508439040_n.jpg 39811079_233607564013833_8661703280767795200_n.jpg
The end link does not fit onto the side case holes. Hence the gap on the case. So I think then the seamaster end link is different and the bracelet itself might be the same.
