    Hey guys,

I am fairly new to this and was hoping to get an opinion on this watch as to whether it is fairly priced and an overall opinion on the piece. The watch is priced at $1300 and no pictures of the movement were provided. The mechanism is an automatic winding caliber 564 movement with quickset calendar functions. Question mark? Haha, thanks for your considerations and patience I'm hoping to learn here.

Redial and poorly refinished case. Pass. Those 168.025's should sell for several hundred less than the asking price even in mint condition.

Hell, I sold the dome dialed version 168.015 that was REALLY nice for $600-ish a year and a half ago.

Thanks for the quick turn around time. What do you look for when figuring out if its a redial etc?

Fonts and the minute / second track markings.

BTW, that watch is missing it's 3:00 marker and you can see where it was. Yuck!

Well you came to the right place! Plenty of friendly advice and the occasional recommendation. But be prepared for competition! Many fevers are treated here. I am currently undergoing treatment for Speedy fever. I see many Pie Pan fevers treated here too.

A little polished but not terrible, and the dial has the start of the measles, but overall seems decent from one picture. I wouldn't pass or fail it before seeing the medallion and movement though.

Is the second watch also missing the index at 3 O' clock? I have seen quite a few of the same model of Constellations without the 3 O'clock index, is there a certain year that have it and certain year don't? Apologize in advance for asking if this has been asked many times.

It was never there to begin with on that particular watch. You can only see the pie pan facet, not any evidence of a marker being removed.

I believe that the watch is close to original. The reference 168.025 came with some pretty funky 1970's dials. Not sure if there is supposed to be a 3 o'clock marker or not. I think the bracelet may be correct also. I'd need to know if there is an Omega branded clasp. I do think that the case has been polished, but it's not too bad. Not sure if crystal is original.

Here is a link to another forum's thread on a very similar watch:

    http://omega.watchprosite.com/?show=forumpostf&fi=677&pi=6144793&ti=898333&s=0

However, the price is ridiculous. If perfect, it's an $800 watch tops. Prices for these are about the same as "C" case Constellations, maybe a slight bit more for the pie-pan dial.

    Hope this helps,

It looks like a Constellation pie pan. The lugs might be crisp. Can't tell you much else from that picture.

    Toasted, but not burnt.

I mean they look like the facets are still sharp.

You do realize that the crown and stem are missing. Original crowns (10-sided) for these are made of unobtanium, although Omega does have alternates avaliable that will fit.

It's impossible to tell you much more from a picture taken at that distance,

168.025 Constellation can be a very nice watch! Check out my very near mint connie-pink.jpg connie-pink2.jpg 18k rose 168.025 pie pan...

And that's the real onyx dial  as opposed to the painted markers like mine:

If you look at the fonts of all the 168.025 dials presented here, they are all the same, with the M's at different widths. I'm convinced that all are original.

Not sure if there was a marker at 3 on the Watches-To-Buy example (yes, I looked that up).
