looking for a perfect strap

Hi All,
I have been looking for the perfect strap for this watch. I have tried it on black alligator, black cordovan and several bracelets. While I think they all look good, none of them do the dial justice in my opinion. I used to have another one like this a long time ago and I had a grey sirtolli alligator strap on it that was perfect. I cannot find another thin (light padding, not thick padding) strap anywhere. Any ideas? Ideally, I would like a thin dark grey alligator strap with either white or black stitching or a grey cordovan strap.

I've never found a strap that that watch was happy on, and not for lack of trying. This reference just calls out for a bracelet.

That doesn't help you of course. Grey does seen a strangely hard to find color - you can always go custom from Hadley Roma if you are in a financially expansive mood - maybe color AB05?: http://lonestarwatches.com/CustomInfo.htm?

There are some weathered vintage ammo pouch leather straps that have a faded black that almost resembles that dial, just can't find one off the top of my head but I know I've seen them

I would go for light tan ammo/distressed leather-problem is most now made are for 24mm lug gaps-The UG is 19mm?I really think light /red tan would compliment the dial-(my artistic training)---------I always use Stach Straps (from Poland)-exceptional design and quality and very reasonable(no connection other than very satisfied customer)I really wish UG had made these in a bigger case size-the one I owned always felt small on s/s bracelet......................

I will check out some of the references you all provided. I do have a navy blue cordovan strap with lighter blue stitching which looks nice. It just isnt the same as the grey alligator i once had though.
