Looking for some help with verifying these 2 Rolex watches
5513 Submariner 1971 with replaced crown crystal bezel insert and new bracelet 93150 and 580 ends. Has serif dial. Asking $11,000. Has been polished. Asking for an offer. Serviced in 2022 by Rolex. Seller wants a premium because of serif dial. No box papers etc. has service card.
2013 Sea Dweller full set 116660. Serviced and polished in 2025. Asking $10,000. Seller holding firm as of now.
Both are located within a short drive but have not seen them in person
Any advice would be much appreciated. Any preference. Any thoughts on value. I’d like to make an offer and not interested in paying asking prices
Thanks

These are such different watches, I think you really need to decide which you prefer. Funny to even put these in the same thread.

I have no interest in modern Rolex, so nothing to say about the SD.

As far as the 5513 goes, the serif dial certainly brings no premium. Amongst matte 5513, a MF carries a premium, and Maxi I. And maybe to some small extent the pre-comex and other maxi dials. Serif/non-serif are nothing special in terms of desirability, probably slightly below the rest, although they are obviously fine and condition is most important. The crown guards look badly over polished down to nubs.

The sub is over polished. Also, it may be the camera angle, but the minute hand lume does not seem to match the other hands. That would annoy me.

Thanks. Leaning toward the sea dweller at the right price
Reason I’m looking at these 2 different watches that they both are being offered for sale by private sellers and they are both within a short distance of where I am.

For diving, forget about those watches. They seem very expensive to me for the condition.

For posturear, either one will do.

Have absolutely no plans to dive or swim or even shower with either. I like large sport watches that’s why I’m particularly attracted to a sea dweller. Would love to buy one without the white gold surrounds but they are out of my price range. Would also consider a gmt master. If anyone had a sea dweller without wgs in this price range please let me know
Posted these watches to check and see if both were correct. I knew the 5513 had replaced parts. The seller really believes the serif dial should bring a premium. I disagreed with him and he wasn’t happy. Anyway I’ll pass on the 5513 even though I prefer the vintage no wgs and no date look
Thanks for the advice and comments

For me (and others), this is not important!
I have flown, driven for hours and even used a boat to see watches/picking them up!

If the seller is serious, he/she will proved you with lots of info, pictures etc!

And you could also look here on the Forums for sale!

Good luck, and take your time!
