Longines "Surfing" - Thoughts? Knowledge?

Does anyone know anything about the Longines Surfing?

Came across one in my rabbit hole and, as a former surfer (who loves Longines) I was taken with the branding. I think I might like to pick one up. Does anyone know the history of the type, or has anyone seen one in person?

I dug a little more than 20 pages into the Google results while in the aforementioned rabbit hole. I think I have price point down as well as a physical descriptions. I was more looking for discussion around other users impressions of the watch in person and/or if anyone had any insights into the development of the product line.

I’d not heard of it but I thought it looked so good I should get one for myself……

Although, having said that I do have (and enjoy wearing) a very similar manual wind Sport Chief.
