I've found another reference 8248 that looks to be the correct one. Perhaps the seller made a mistake?
Hi, one my favorite sellers has the same watch in better condition, with its original bracelet and last year asked me 1.500 euros.
Have been searching for a nice example this rare bird for a while. This is a ca.1970 Longines Skin Diver Ref.8248-1, cal. 505. A cousin to the Ultra-Chron, they share some beautiful design elements including stunning bakelite bezels & orange / red minute hands. To me the traditional size 37mm and divers case on this model is just gorgeous. Add in the original signed steel bracelet and it’s the “cherry” on top! Interestingly, this also appears to be the watch that @cchen posted about in January 2017 with incorrect reference.
