For lack of a picture reference, I'm collecting internet images of Longines catalogs. Might make for a good reference book someday

By the way, they also have Manfred Rössler's Zenith book for 49,90. Ordered that one as well.

Enough reading material for the weekend.

Going quickly through Goldberger's book I agree that it's heavily chronograph and early stuff centered. Info is limited, pics are nice.

Worth the €44,90 imo.

I have the German Goldberger on the way. I can't read German. Any value to get the English?

I'll take a look again at my Italian edition to tell you @Seiji ... I'd like one in English but that's because I'm interested in the 4 page historical intro. I frankly don't remember that the captions underneath the photos are so information rich... I'm personally interested in the pictures.

I got the Marozzi - Toselli book for 24 EUR, shipping included, and I am not sure that it is worth that money. A nice collection of period ads, and some nice photographs of fine watches, but without information of any kind about the watches themselves.

No mention of case references or movements of the watches on the photos, so really not much use from a collector point of view.

Sounds like I can save $50. I am sure the history is just like any other Longines history intro. My main purpose and greatest frustration is knowing what are the reference numbers to begin the internet searches. Probably German or any other language, the number are the numbers. No one book can have every possible dial configuration so for that may still look at Instagram.

I do have a case code catalog which lists the case code with its respective caliber, crown and crystal code. No photos whatsoever, and only good for American references, as it was issued by Wittnauer as a reference for watchmakers.

Being a Wittnauer company reference, it also includes Wittnauer and LeCoultre codes, so finding your way is a bit crazy.

If anybody is interested, I could scan it into a pdf.

Me too. Once I am out of money, I'll going for Wittnauer Pro
