hi everyone,bought this recently,but i could not find anything regarding this pocket watch,i have never seen blue jewels in a pocket watch before,if anyone can help,

 

Nice movement. Those type of jewels appear now and then, typically in higher grade movements, like the "EXTRA" that you have shown.

In Longines' movement nomenclature, "M" stands for "mince", which means "thin" in French.

 

"N" is for "nouveau", which means "new" in French.

 

This is certainly true, some of the time.

 

i have managed to get more details,blue jewels are made specially for an asian market (Japan) according to Longines specialist i have spoke to ,They are handfull of Longines pocket watch were made to order,Japan market insisted on blue jewels instead of red jewels like the ones in european or american market,i dont collect pocket watches,but i saw this with blue jewels in the movement,i have found it interesting,i am not even sure what is worth either,
